I have just seen mother at the Land of The Dead. She told me that men have been trying to take oover my kingdom to take over you. It was very touching to see her and when she was telling me this i was so scared i was going to lose you. But i cant worry about that right now.
Tiresias warned me about these Sirens that we just passed. They are women with beautiful vices to lure men into them. "Therefore you are to tie me up, tight as a splint, erect along the mast, lashed to the mast, and if i shout and beg to be untied, take more turns of the rope to muffle me" (Homer 1005). Tiresias told me that it would be good for me to hear there voices so i told my men to do thid for me. I put thick amounts of bees wax in there ears so that they couldnt hear there voices. As we started to near the island two of the Sirens started to sing. There voices were beautiful, i wanted to be untied but my men pulled tighter. Finally the Sirens dropped under the sea rim, and there singing dwindled away. So my men untied me and they took the bees wax out of there ears.

Scylla & Charyblis
Dear Penelope,
I am scared and i am pretty much all alone. I have lost almost all of my men now.As we were traveling the winds started picking up and the water water was whirling. I told all of my men to have courage because if we could fight the cyclopes then we could fight this. I prayed that Zeus would help us through this. My courageoyus men made it throw Charybdis. Then we went into this cave not knowing what to expect. There were many cracks on the sides of the cave and we were looking in them and then all of a sudden a firce shriek was heard. It was one of my men being eatin by a monster of some sort. Then another one and another one popped out. then after awile heads were popping out everywhere. "Then Scylla made her strike, whisking six of my best men from the ship" (Homer 1010). We were all terrified of where it was about to pop out now. Then we turned around and it was a 3-headed monster that was sitting there with blood on his face. We got out of the cave safely with some men gone and some men safe. This will be the last time that i write to you. Please cherish all of the letters and think about me.

Aeolus
My Darling Penelope,
I am so very sorry Penelope. I saw the island ahead that we live and i let you down. We had ran out of water so i had to stop at Aeolia to get some. Aeolus gives me a gift, "...a sack containing all of the winds except the west wind" (Homer 999). He sent me off with this bag and told me not to open it. My men thought that i was hiding something from them when i got on the boat with the bag. The were curious about it and would always try to open it behind my back. So i would never go to sleep, I stayed awake for 2 days so i could get home. Then i just lost my strenght. While I was asleep my foolish men opened up the bag and it made a huge storm, some of my men were thrown over oard and vanished, but many servived.
I am so ashamed of myself for letting you down. I shouldnt of lost my strentgh for you. I should of kept going.
We ended being sent back to Aeolia and Aeolus has sent us back out ashamed of us. We have been sailing for 6 days now and i dont know where he is sending us.

Cyclopes- The Land of Sicily
Penelope,
These past few days i have been showing of my courage for you and my son. I really cant wait until that day that i get to see you again, hopefuly our son wont have a beard anytime soon.
We have just landed on the land of Polyphemus, the son of Posedian. My men and I went into a cave not knowing what to expect, so we went in and it was empty. So we sat down enjoyed some food and wine and had a great time. We never knew that we were going to encounter a one-eyed beast, but we did. A huge one-eyed monster walked into the cave and saw me and all of my men sitting there drunk. We were all stunned and petrefied of what was going to happen. he threatened that he was going to eat me and my men. I was scared and I didnt know how to stick up for my men, so he went ahead and ate 6 of them. "Cyclops try some wine, here is liquor to wash down your scraps of men" I said timidly (Homer 991). He drank it rapidly and he loved it and wanted more. Before you knew it he was drunk and knocked out. We had to think cleverly and fast of a way to get out. We tried to remove the rock from the door but it wouldnt even budge. Athena gave me the idea to stab the beast in the eye. I took a stick and sharpened it and then stabbed. The beast didnt know what was happening he got up screaming and yelling to Posedian and he opened the door for me and my men to escape without him even knowing. Now I am on the boat trying to get to you.

Land of the Lotus Eaters
My Dearest Penelope,
I have been thinking about you,my darling, this whole time. I cant wait until that moment where i get to look int o your eyes again. This journey has been brutal. My men and I have been working our hardest to get home to see our loved ones
Right now we are leaving Tunisia. All of my men are tied underneath the benches of the boat right now. There were these Lotus flowers that was like a hallucinogen. he men were acting very foolish and immature when they took it.This plant was very addicting and i couldny get my men to get away from it. They had no self control so i had to take charge."I drove them, all three wailing,to the ships,tied them down under there rowing benches,and called the rest..." (Homer 985). It was very hard but i thought about how badly i wanted to get home and see you so i dragged them off for you.
